Meditation is misunderstood and, most importantly, weighted in a way that has given mediation a "work" like mentality which brings resistance to those who want to do it, but "can't get it right." Before getting into ways of meditation, lets first start by talking about the main purpose of mediation. Simplicity. Within simplicity lies connection to your inner being and the absence of resistance. Within simplicity lies inspiration, creativity and alignment! Meditation helps quite the "active mind" in resistant mode, to a more open aligned state with your higher self. Thus, bringing clarity. So if meditation is about simplicity, then how do you get from a chaotic state of focused mind chatter to "simplicity?" Well, one main confusion is that you have to "stop focusing" during mediation, when mediation is really all about focus. Focusing on raising vibration. Focusing on the flow of energy running though you, and focusing on the energy we are ALL connected to. Now, some use the breath technique where you count seconds during each breath, or some use the "om" technique. Nether one is wrong and neither one is right. You need to focus on something SOOTHING and repetitive to quiet the mind. Any one of these techniques work. A lot of people say "I can't meditate, my mind doesn't stop thinking." Well, that is the very purpose of meditation. Every person's mind has constant chatter until we stop it ourselves with meditation. Do not effort it. Do not put ritualistic behaviors towards it, for you will lose true sight of the purpose and intention behind mediation. For mediation to work, you must desire to connect with your higher self. You must desire to align with your higher self and Source energy that flows through you. You must desire inspiration and clarity. These desires are what makes mediation more of a neccesity like food, water, and shelter. There is no right or wrong way to meditate. I always say, start with 10- 15 minutes a day. Use whatever focus technique you enjoy that quiets the mind and gets you in that mediative state. I always say it is good to meditate before getting out of bed, because the purpose of slumber is to stop the momentum of the day you had prior and to "start again" with new intention. With meditation, you will quiet the mind, connect with your higher self and Source energy, then prepare your vibration to the day/reality you wish to create. When you start the day with meditation, your vibration will be raised to a higher frequency, thus giving you clarity, insight and inspiration for the day that will unfold ahead of you. You will be in more alignment with "YOU" and all things in your created reality will match up with that high vibration you are aligned with.. The key term is "YOU." Then, all the answers to day to day questions like "how do i get rid of this?" or "how can I feel better with that?", will come to you naturally. Instinctually. And it will be easily perceived from your inner being. Alignment is very important to the reality that you wish to create and have manifested, and meditation is a great way of reaching that desired alignment. That is why it is all about simplicity. The more you focus on one specific thing there is not room for anything else other then your focus. Thats will define your "point of attraction." Imagine that power you already have! That statement is true with everything in your existence. Therefor, stop focusing on the question when its the solution you want to focus on. And, in mediation, stop focusing on all the chatter and find something at ease to focus on. Then everything else unfolds perfectly. Simply. - Scott
