Defining the Past

I’m going to keep this one shorter then my others blogs to keep the message simple and to the point.

There are many reasons why people hold on to events of their past. Could be from trauma, anger, loss or grief. Some may even hold on to the past because of a glorious experience that they fear they cannot create again in the future. Whatever the case is, the past is a stepping stone to the present which is a stepping stone to the future. No matter what the stage of experience is EVERYTHING is being experienced in the present. Each moment we experience is now. What time is it? Now. What time is it now? Now. You get my drift. 🕰 😉

All experiences of the past and worries of the future are being created in the mind from our imagination. Now, before some of you get upset and say “hey I experienced what I experienced in my past and the future hasn’t happened yet, so they’re not the same, I’m not making my past up.” Well, in a sense you are. Our imagination is the only part of our consciousness that can experience the past and the future in the present state. The past exposes all in our minds. I’m not here to say your experiences in the past are false, however, your INTERPRETATION of those experiences does.

Regardless of the circumstances, it is important to understand that we are the interpreters of our reality just as much as the creators. Yes, I have been though quite a few traumatic experiences in my life time, but the differences between myself and others that re-live the past day to day is my interpretation of my past.I defined my traumas as my strength. They were realizations of my true power as a being. My traumas enlightened my strength, my core desires, and I was then able to transform it into art and inspiration to help others. It was like wisdom being thrown at me as a reward of my interpretation.

Once we connect with an experience, it is then our job to interpret the way we wish to grow from it. If we do not chose to reflect and grow from an experience, we keep ourselves bound to it. Some will continuously live in pain; replaying the past, as others will throw it under the rug as if to ignore it, however, they will always attract similar circumstances. Why? Because what we project with our consciousness becomes reality. The energy we are attracts that which is like to it. That is just simple physics. Like attracts like. Our subconscious mind is what holds all our beliefs (positive and negative) as well as unresolved experiences. The only way to access the subconscious mind is self reflection. Observing our actions and emotions to see what is limiting our growth.

So, the main message here is interpretation. Create the desired growth point from your past. Steer your ship! We will always come across troubled waters, but the difference between the joyful person and the miserable one, is the interpretation of that journey. The bigger the strorm, the more joy and bliss is to come. You will not see or experience joy or bliss if you keep steering back to the time of the storm.

BE the interpreter. Define the person you desire to be in the future because of the past then be that person now. 💪🏼😉
